Security & Defence Interests in Space Conference brings together decision-makers, operators, innovators, and industry leaders to address one of the fastest-evolving domains of security and defence.

Block 1 – Operational Perspectives: Military Use of Space and Future Defence Capabilities
1st block we are going to examines SPACE from the perspective of military and governmental users responsible for defence planning, operational employment, and security decision-making. As SPACE has become an indispensable operational domain, the session explores its contribution to NATO's deterrence and defence posture, Multi-Domain Operations (MDO), and the protection of critical military capabilities.
The discussions will address the strategic implications of NATO space policy, the role of satellite communications, navigation and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), as well as the growing importance of Space Situational Awareness (SSA). Particular attention will be devoted to operational resilience against cyber, electronic warfare, jamming, spoofing, anti-satellite (ASAT) threats and other hybrid challenges that increasingly affect both military operations and national security. Through operational experience and strategic perspectives, the session aims to identify future capability requirements necessary to ensure secure and uninterrupted access to the space domain.

Block 2 – Innovation Perspectives: Industry, Technology and Future Space Solutions
The afternoon programme highlights the essential contribution of industry, research organisations and academia to the future development of space capabilities. As technological innovation increasingly determines operational advantage, the session provides a platform for presenting advanced solutions, emerging technologies and collaborative initiatives supporting both defence and civilian security.
The programme will explore the role of commercial space operators, dual-use technologies, Earth Observation, satellite communications, artificial intelligence, advanced data exploitation and resilient space architectures. Particular emphasis will be placed on public–private partnerships, cooperation between government, armed forces and industry, and the rapid delivery of innovative capabilities that strengthen national, NATO and European space ambitions. The session also provides an opportunity to discuss how academia and industry can contribute to future operational concepts, resilience, and technological superiority in an increasingly contested space environment.
Together, both conference blocks provide a comprehensive perspective on the SPACE domain—from the operational employment of space capabilities and emerging security challenges to the technologies, partnerships and innovations that will shape the future of defence and security in space.
