Faculty of Security Management, Police Academy
The Dean of the Faculty of Security Management of the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague. He graduated at the Faculty of Science in Brno in the field of Mathematics and Physics. He passed viva-voce examination in the field of Mathematical Analysis and he completed extramural research assistantship in the field of Technical Cybernetics at the Faculty of Engineering of the Technical University in Prague. He was awarded a degree of Senior Lecturer in the field of Security Services at the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava.
Since 1992 he has been working at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague, where he has been teaching the following subjects: Protection of Computer Data, Information Security, Managerial Informatics and Information Security Theory.
He is the author of university texbooks such as Information Security (2005), Managerial Informatics (2003 and 2010) and of other study texts Managerial Informatics II (2006). He is the co-author of Basics of Police and Security Activity Theory II (2006), Basics of Information Security Theory (2007), Selected Aspects of Information Security (2010), Current Approach and Trends of Security Management and Information Security (2010), and a large number of articles and speeches at conferences on information security.
Mr. Požár is a member of the Czech chapter AFCEA since 1997. Since 2000 he is a member of the chapter Board of Directors. His chapter activities are mainly focused to students and young chapter members. In 1998 he was co-founder of local AFCEA student competition, which was running more than 10 years. Last year he helped to organized 4th European Student Conference of AFCEA in Prague and he supported establishment of 1st Central European Student Club based on Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague. In the same time he became academic and chapter advisor to this club.
Mr. Požár is very valuable member of AFCEA.
