In 2003 he was graduated from the Military Academy in Brno. His first job after graduation was at the Military Geographic and Hydrometeorologic Office in Dobruska. His first position was in Department of Surveying and Mapping. He spent in this Department 7 years. During this time he was responsible for geodetic support of the Czech Armed Forces. After this piece of experience he was reassigned to the GPS Information and Monitoring Center. This workplace has been responsible for implementation of GPS technology into the Czech Armed Forces. In 2011 he was deployed to Afghanistan, where he was working under command of NATO-ISAF operation and he was responsible for geographical support of the Czech Contingent in province Logar. During his career he attended some special training courses abroad, such as Vulnerabilities of GNSS at the University of Nottingham or NATO Geospatial Orientation Course at NATO school in Oberammergau. At the present time Major Jiri Hubicka is chief of GNSS Department at the Military Geographic and Hydrometeorologic Office in Dobruska.
